Your goal is to create a visual of your castle and its geographic location.  Each of these components must be accompanied by a verbal explanation.  Some of the web sites that you have found are listed below and will provide helpful links in your research.  You may work with a partner on this project if you clear it with me first, but all projects are to be completed by Thursday at the end of class.  Anyone not finished will be expected to stay.

Steps in the Process

First – Choose one of the following castles or another approved by instructor:

Saumur Castle, France Chambord, France Malahide, Ireland
El Real Manzanares, Spain Olavinlinna Castle, Finland Arundel, England
Nottingham Castle, England Dover Castle, England Bran Castle, Transylvania, Romania
Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria Edinburgh Castle, Scotland Lampeter Castle, Wales
Himeji Castle, Japan Andalucia, Spain Castle Ashby, Britian
Doue-la-Fontaine, Anjou

Next – Find a picture of it – and write down the web address where you got the picture.   Cut and paste the picture into a Microsoft Word document and save as castle project.

Third – Find a map that shows where in the world this castle is located.   Cut and paste this map into the same word document.   After you print it, place a red dot or star to indicate the precise location.

Fourth – Type – using Microsoft word – a brief explanation of when your castle existed and housed a family.
